What Airtable does with your responses

Every completed form creates one new record in the base and table you picked. Three columns are filled in for you, so you can sort and filter without setting anything up first.
- Submission ID: the id KirokuForms uses, so any record can be traced back to the response behind it.
- Created At: when the record was written, as a timestamp.
- Status: pending when the record arrives, then approved or rejected once somebody decides on the submission.
- One column for each field you paired, written as text.
You decide which answer goes in which column
Pick the base and table once, then pair each form field with the column it belongs in. Only the fields you pair are sent, so a form can collect more than the base needs to hold.
- Until you pair at least one field, that form sends nothing. Connecting your Airtable account is not enough on its own.
- The base and table are set once for your account. The pairs are per form, so two forms can fill different columns of the same table.
- Columns are matched by name, so renaming one in Airtable breaks the pair until you set it again.
- A question somebody left blank arrives as an empty cell rather than being skipped, so every record has the same shape.
If Airtable will not take the record
Your response is saved in KirokuForms before Airtable is called, so a write that fails never loses it. The record does not appear in the base and we do not send it again.
- The usual causes are a connection that was removed in Airtable, a column that was renamed, and a base the connection can no longer reach.
- The response itself is safe in your submissions list, and you can download what you need as a CSV.
- A failed write is not reported in the dashboard yet, so if you work out of the base rather than out of KirokuForms, compare the counts now and then.
Two minutes, start to finish
It all happens in your form's Integrations tab. Airtable asks you once whether to allow the connection, and you choose which bases to share on its own screen.
- Open your form in KirokuForms, go to the Integrations tab and choose Airtable.
- Click Connect Airtable, then allow the connection on Airtable's screen and pick the bases you want to share.
- Pick the base and the table, pair each form field with a column, and save.
- Send yourself a test response and watch the record appear.
